Can a Woolly Bugger change the world?Well, we never underestimate the power of that little bugger to catch a fish. And we think he just might play a big role in changing the way people think about fly fishing and it's benefits to our environment.
DRiFT attends many shows to bring our mission of conservation and education through fly fishing to the people. We teach families how to tie flys, how to cast a fly rod and the value of catch and release. We meet new people, make new friends and raise money for our valuable programs.

ISA Fly Tying and Fishing Show

Presented by The Illinois Smallmouth Alliance along with DuPage Rivers Fly Tyers. This all day event will run from 9am - 4pm at Holy Family School 145 East Grand Ave Bensenville, IL 60106

This two day event will be highlighted by a variety of demonstrations, seminars and speakers. Additionally, exhibitors will be selling hunting and fishing gear, camping supplies, boats, ATVs and a wide variety of outdoor equipment. Featuring Lefty Kreh and Babe Winkelman.
North Arkansas Fly Fishers -- Sowbug Roundup 2012

This annual fly tying event is held in Mountain Home, Arkansas every spring. The Sowbug Roundup is the foremost gathering of fly tyers in the USA. Every year more than 100 tyers from all over North America and Europe meet and tie. Members from DRiFT attend this annual event to participate in demonstrating fly tying and casting certification and instruction.
Federation of Fly Fishers Southern Council -- Conclave 2012
Council Federation of Flyfishers, held each year in Mountain Home, Arkansas. It will be held Thursday, October 4 thru Saturday, October 6, 2012. The business meeting will be held Sunday, October 7, 2012 in morning hours.
The Conclave is the premier event of the Southern Council Federation of Flyfishers, held each year in Mountain Home, Arkansas. DRiFT members attend each year to participate in fly tying demonstrations, fly casting instruction and certification.

July 10-14, 2012.
This year's conclave is in Spokane Washington. DRiFT always has a strong showing at the National Conclave. From Art Mazzier's nationally-recognized entomology program to our close to a dozen certified casting instructors, you're sure to enjoy the highlight event of the year.
